Buddy Dyer is nobody's Buddy.
Edited on Sun Feb-06-05 11:51 AM by The Backlash Cometh
He's an old guard Democrat. More in love with real estate, than he is with Democratic ideals. In today's Orlando Sentinel, shows that he has been conspiring for a year to sell off the publicly owned Orlando water-utility. Among the dreams that the 322 million dollar purchase would bring to the city would include: renovated arena for the Orlando Magic, a new public-safety complex, a performing-arts center, a downtown conference center and a minor league baseball park.

Meanwhile, the regular folk get hit with higher water bills. So, this is my solution: Why doesn't the government just raise the water bills and use the extra money for their boondoggles?

I was apprehensive when his name came up for election, I'm feel vindicated that I was right. Old guard Democrats are the main reason that Republicans slipped in and took Florida. They have the same plan. Grow, grow, grow. And sell out the masses.

1. Yes it appears that way, so is it safe to conclude that Southern...
...Democrats of today are for the most part republican clones dressed up in democratic clothing? Maybe Ralph Nader is correct in observing that there is not a shred of difference between the two major parties when it comes to greed and self-gain. It is the working people who end up being betrayed every time while the political game enriches the already privileged few and those who do their bidding.

2. It's time for the regular folks to rise up and chang things
using drastic measures if necessary.
