Feeney is history.
Well, he's a crooked lawyer so I'm sure he'll make his way to the bar that runs along the I-4 Corridor and get a second life.

So much for his little group of middle-aged white guys, or however it was he put it.

2. Me too.
Did you notice that the county went to McCain. 51 to 48 percent. Every other county seemed to go to Obama.

5. You sure?
I could have sworn I saw my County, where Feeney's district resides, voted for McCain by a narrow margin.

3. Goodbye, Tom Feeney.
Kosmas Wins District 24 Over Feeney

UPDATED: 9:28 pm EST November 4, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Democrat Suzanne Kosmas has defeated incumbent U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney, who was dogged by ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Feeney's link with Abramoff and his acceptance of free golf trip to Scotland became a central issue of the campaign. In a television ad, Feeney said he made "a rookie mistake."

With 77 percent of the expected vote counted, Kosmas has 58 percent and Feeney had 41 percent.

"Churchill said the difference between war and politics is in politics you can get killed more than once," Feeney said. "I've been buried more than once, and I've come back."

The Central Florida district includes areas of Brevard, Orange, Seminole and Volusia counties, including Daytona International Speedway and the Kennedy Space Center.

6. Well, that explains it. He covered four counties.
Man, the connections he must have with good ole boys.

8. Feeney and Keller....
Mica would have made a trifecta. Feeney gone, that's golden.

9. Unfortunately, in Florida, they never are really gone.
He'll probably just turn lobbyist or become one of those lawyers that "specialize" with the government-private sector. You know, the shadow government.

10. That's what happens when you nominate a competent Democrat
Good thing we didn't repeat the mistake we made two years ago in that district.
