Health Care Rallies/Town Halls in CT next week

Dear Fellow Activist,

Next week, there are seven health care rallies and town hall meetings scheduled in four out of five congressional districts. These events provide us with a great opportunity to thank the Connecticut delegation for their leadership on national health care reform and to send them back to work.

Due to the high number of events and the importance of the fight for health care reform, I'd like to ask for your help to turn others out to these events next week. We have a system set up that will allow you to call our allies from the comfort of your home or office (complete with a script for each individual event). The system is easy to use, but requires a very brief orientation. Please contact Rich Sivel at [email protected] or 860-989-1369 if you are able to help us make these important calls.

Details on all of the events are below, so look for the one nearest to you, and attend to ensure that your voice is heard! Please note that the details of the events may change. As such, the page at this link will be kept up-to-date, so please look there for the latest information on these events.

Events on Wednesday September 2

- 1st Congressional District -

4:30 PM Hartford - Rally and March for Health Care Reform
At 4:30 we will rally at Congressman John Larson's office, 221 Main St., Hartford, CT and then march to Senator Chris Dodd's office at 30 Lewis Street in Hartford. Note: When you arrive for the rally, look for volunteers who will direct you to parking.
6:00 PM West Hartford - Health Care Town Hall Forum with Congressman John Larson
Join Congressman John Larson for a health care town hall forum at the West Hartford Town Hall, 50 South Main St., in West Hartford.

- 2nd Congressional District -

5:30 PM Montville - Rally and Health Care Town Hall Forum with Congressman Joe Courtney
Join us for a 5:30 PM rally at Montville High School, 800 Old Colchester Road, Oakdale, CT followed by the health care forum with Congressman Courtney beginning at 6:30 PM.

- 4th Congressional District -

5:30 PM Norwalk - Rally and Health Care Town Hall Forum with Congressman Jim Himes
Join us for a 5:30 pm rally at Norwalk City High School, 23 Calvin Murphy Drive, Norwalk, CT followed by the health care forum with Congressman Himes beginning at 6:30 PM in the school's auditorium.

5:30 PM Washington - Rally and Health Care Town Hall Forum with Congressman Chris Murphy
Join us for a 5:30 pm rally at Shepaug Valley High School, 159 South Street, Washington, CT followed by the health care forum with Congressman Murphy beginning at 6:30 PM.

12:00 PM Storrs - Health Care Town Hall Forum with Congressman Joe Courtney
Join Congressman Courtney for a 12:00 PM health care forum at UConn's Jorgensen Auditorium, 2132 Hillside Road, Storrs, CT.

- 4th Congressional District -

5:30 PM Bridgeport - Rally and Health Care Town Hall Forum with Congressman Jim Himes
Join us for a 5:30 pm rally at Bridgeport City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, Bridgeport, CT followed by the health care forum with Congressman Himes beginning at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers.
