FastTracks dissed on The Fox
I just heard the DJ on The Fox read a campaign promo for FastTracks, and at the end he says, "What a load of crap."

Can you believe that? I've never heard an announcer dis the product that's paying for the broadcast.

1. Contact Fast Tracks
What is this product? What company produces it?

Contact them. Tell their public relations department what happened. I'm sure they would be PISSED to find out that they just paid good money to get insulted.

They might demand a credit for the cost of that commercial, and an on-air apology.

2. It's a campaign to expand light rail and commuter rail
here in Denver metro area. It's basically asking for a tax increase to pay for expanded access to Boulder, Denver International Airport, Golden and points north.

3. Got a response on my complaint re: Fox Ad
<Don: I thought you would like to see the follow up of your comment on the FasTracks ad on FOX radio. Thanks again for the heads up.>

We had a phone call with Premier Traffic Networks (the company who we placed the FasTracks radio schedule that ran on KRFX-FM with) and they admit that the problem was internal. One of their reporters was flustered with all of the goings on with multiple accidents, that when he recorded the commercial, he acted irrationally and forgot to edit out his unnecessary comment. Premier Traffic and the reporter himself feel terribly and you will be receiving a letter of apology from the reporter and someone in upper management as well as a makegood for the spot. FYI- the reporter has been "written up" for this, and the letter will remain in his file. They will make sure that this will never happen again, as it was not directed at the FasTracks program. The letters will be sent here and we will forward them on to you once we receive them.

Premier Traffic Networks values your business and is sincerely sorry that this occurred.

Brenda Tierney

I think this is appropriate. So my letter did accomplish something after all!
