1. NYS UI Max was $364.50 in 2003 -- I don't know if it's changed since then.

How much is California's?

2. And this state's UI office doesn't manage it's paperwork well either!

I was unemployed between jobs, made a point of not starting until my "unemployment" period ran out, but they still came back 3-4 years later and withheld my tax refund and said that I owed them unemployment benefits that I'd fraudulently claimed, since they claimed incorrectly that I was working then. They sent it to an address that I'd moved twice from, and also claimed I owed late fees too.

Had to go to court at all you Cali taxpayer's expense to correct them with the paperwork I had to show that they and/or my former employer screwed up their paperwork, didn't verify/correct it like they should have and forced it to go all the way to a court decision, where the judge was trying not to laugh when he saw my paperwork and decided in my favor.
