On the news in El Mirage!
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 02:22 PM by Wheezy
AZ news channel showed coverage of some protesters and signs, and said "Three hundred, maybe more" anti-war protestors. Woo hoo! Some short interviews as well. No mention of any pro-war protestors. Said they'd have more news coverage on it on Good Evening Arizona. Nicely done!

CBS news 5 had nothing on the noon news about protestors x( Unless I missed it, flipping channels.

Local Fox News 10 didn't cover the protesters at noon either. The focus is all hurricane today, and more on what ** said about Katrina than about his 'big sell' on prescription coverage (seniors have to fill out a 4-page form to sign up ??? You could see the collective sighs on camera). Oh, my favorite quote of his speech which one news channel played *snicker*: "You'll cut your prescription bills in half by 50 per cent!"

(edited to update other mid-day newscasts)

5. Keep watching 24-hour AZ News Channel (it's ch. 14 here in Mesa)
They are looping the coverage, and they have the most coverage of the protestors.

Way to go, DU!!

Almost ALL anti-Bush. There were only very few pro-Bush supporters.
The ones who were there were polite. The police treated us well, too.

8. I swear he said that 6 or 7 times at least.
He also said (for those of you playing the * stupid quote game at home) "It'll cut your prescription bill in half by fifty per cent!" (not verbatim)
