Voter receipts raise question of fraud
1,500 registrations from FAMU precincts photocopied

By Bill Cotterell

DEMOCRAT POLITICAL EDITOR

"On the last day voters could sign up for the Nov. 2 presidential election, Leon County's elections chief said he received up to 1,500 photocopied registration forms and asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to find out what happened to the originals".

"The overwhelming majority of them were for African-Americans, and also the majority of them were Republicans," Elections Supervisor Ion Sancho said Monday. "That was one of the things that made us want to start contacting the registrants."

Leon County/Tallahassee has one of the best Elections Supervisors in the country! This would be ignored, slip under the radar or be actively countenced in a lot of other places.

1. Someone copied the stack for future contact and kept the
originals accidentally.

With the number we've seen coming through it's easy to see how a mistake could be made.

9. Nope. I have no idea at all of what really happened.
But as overwhelmed as some offices are now it wouldn't surprise me.

4. I was wondering the same thing...Are they saying African-Americans
are voting Republican...Unless they got a couple of churches to go vote for God.

3. 1500 Republicans at FAMU?
I'd be surprise if there were 100.

7. Why do Floridians keep these people in office???
How many people here actually believe this?

He said he couldn't physically tell with certainty whether finished forms had been copied or whether blank forms were copied by someone who feared running out of them and were then filled out with black pens.

"We tried feeling the forms with our fingers, but it's extremely difficult to determine whether a signature is original if it was done with a Rollerball pen or felt-tip pen," Sancho said. "That's why we contacted FDLE."
