There's one thing NO ONE can spin
Kerry looked and sounded more presidential.

Not even the most deluded Freeper can deny this. He outlined how the grave threat to the world from nuclear proliferation while * was blathering about "moolahs". He looked just like a president should. * looked like he belongs in the zoo.

1. YEAH! People were reminded what a REAL president sounds like!
The contrast was quite striking.

2. I got a laugh out of the "moolahs"
It would be a lot more funny if it wasn't the President of the USA talking like a freaking moron.

9. Yet another 'WTF?' moment.
Kerry is talking about real issues and next thing you know, Bush is repeating the world 'mullahs' as if he learnt a new word and wanted an excuse to try it out. Nevermind it had NOTHING to do with the current issue being debated. Like I've said before, it would've been funny if this guy didn't have the codes in his pocket.

3. Bush was irritable, angry , repetitive.
His long pauses made it look like someone who knew what they were talking about was piping the answers to him. Either that or he was losing interest in what he was doing and his mind was wandering. You know what a short attention span he has.

7. Hmmm
> piping the answers to him.

I thought he was lip syncing to a prerecorded tape. Quite a few times I noticed Bushie's lips were not moving at the same time as the sound, but Kerry's always were! Either there was something wrong with the feed that just only happened to go bad when bushie was speaking (yeah right) or there was something fishy going on.

4. Kerry was prepared
had the facts right at hand, stuck to the point. Bush drifted, kept saying "um" and repeating things and looked genuinely annoyed that he was being beat.

6. Because, in his insufferable
and blatant arrogance and egotism, he was, indeed, incredibly annoyed that he was finally being made to look like the total and complete idiotic waste of space that he is. It never, ever seems to occur to any of the members of the Shrubbies that maybe, just maybe, they ain't all that great and that they ain't always entitled to win.

5. Demeanor does convey intangible "presidential" aspects
It is indeed a HUGE part of the equation.
Things look great for us.

8. And it's finally, finally, FINALLY
in our favor after all those other debates where Mondale, Dukakis, Carter and Gore blew it with what was perceived as their inappropriate or unpresidential demeanor. The shoe is on the other foot, for once, and the fucking repukes just can't handle it. HOW SWEET IT IS!

10. The coWard sounded so insincere when he mentioned the widow
Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 10:59 PM by 4_year_nightmare
whose husband died fighting his war. He stammered, seemed at a loss for the right words. The only words that flow for him are his prepared, heavily practiced talking points.

I liked how Kerry pointed out several times how the coWard should have focused on Afghanistan ("Afghanistan is the center of terrorism"). Also, Kerry pointed out that Saddam didn't attack us -- Bin Laden did. We should have focused on Afghanistan & prevented his ability to hide & reorganize.

I liked how Kerry pointed out that the 14 permanent military bases in Iraq gave the impression to the Iraqis that the U.S. has designs on their oil.

Other Kerry points I liked:

-- 35-40 countries have a greater capability than Saddam had for creating WMDs.

-- North Korea's & Iran's free pass in developing nuclear weapons.

-- DeGaulle's confidence in Kennedy when Kennedy offered to show him photographs of evidence against Krushchev ("No, the word of the president of the U.S. is good enough for me."). How many leaders can say that today?

-- That the coWard refuses to belong to the International Criminal Court. The coWard's response was unbelievable: "Trying to be popular with the world makes no sense." Duh! That's why our country is hated so much under his leadership.

Keep it up, John Kerry! I'm pumped!
