CNN/AEI's Bill Schneider admits...GOP is shallow, dumb
Okay, the "shallow and dumb" part is my paraphrasing. BUT, Schneider did point out their latest demographics show that people who are informed and are voting on ISSUES are more likely to vote for Kerry. People who are more concerned with personality are more likely to vote for Bush. IOW, tell your GOP friends they're voting with the party of the dumbasses. See if THAT will change their minds, if common sense and the good of the country won't do it!'

1. For a Republican
Bill Schneider does sometimes actually tell it like it is - when some embarrassing allegations came up about Bush (a weekly occurrence it seems), he has often pointed out that it is bad news for Bush. He's not nearly as tough on Bush as he is on Kerry, but he is at least not the complete ass-licker that Blitzer, Hemmer, Crowley, etc are.

2. In this statement, I agree with Schneider.
The problem is, there have always been some voters who cast their ballot for stupid reasons. Some people voted for Jack Kennedy because he was "soo handsome". Some voted against Nixon because he of a 5 o'clock shadow. Many voted for Reagan because he was such a nice guy. The same thing is happening in this election. I've heard all kind of irrelivant reasons people make their choice. When directly asked why you made your choice, initially, most will come out with a reason that sounds good, but if you press them on why they think that candidate is, say, going to make you safer, it usually comes down to one of two things. Either I just like him better, or I hate the other guy!

3. Saw a homemade sign in the back of a van yesterday, says
If you can read this sign thank a teacher.
If you want your kid to be able to read this sign
- VOTE DEMOCRAT

4. The one I've heard that gets me the most is . . .
"Bush got us into this mess so he should have a chance to get us out." WTF!?????

I also don't understand the people who say they don't like Kerry, but they can't articulate a reason why. "I just don't like him." Hey folks, this is the POTUS for crying out loud, not the senior class president! It's not about who's more popular - it's about who can run the country better.

Sheesh.

5. That will change minds!
"You're voting for dumbasses!"

I think perhaps there's a better way to put this... :)
