Thank you Rep. Alan Grayson for taking a stand.
It's about time someone in Congress called out the GOP.

Support one of our bravest Congressmen fight for the uninsured and the under-insured. Oppose the GOP's hypocrisy. After all, they were the a**holes who pushed the "Death Panel" meme all summer.

Donate to the man with a knack for alliteration, who called obstructionist Republicans "Nattering Nabobs of Negativism" and "Knuckle-Dragging Neanderthals" on CNN.

2. I know I am in a tiny, tiny minority
on this, but I am not happy with what he did. Lowering the discourse to their level is not the way to go IMHO.

3. I respectfully disagree....
sometimes it becomes necessary to come down to their level....if only for a moment...to grab their attention and shift the debate.

4. I agree
Sometimes you do have to come down to their level, hopefully it will shake things up a bit and wake up some the spineless democrats in congress.

6. IMHO
the attention right now should be on how to move things forward, not on "he said, she said" type arguments that the media eats up like there is no tomorrow. I would much rather see both here and in the media a discussion of the new amendment Rockefeller mentioned yesterday on Countdown, an amendment he put together with Al Franken and that would require insurance companies to prove the HHS secretary that they use 90% of their income to actually reimburse health care costs, drstically reducing their profit margins, and effectively regulating them. Which do you think is more important? That a congressman said something dramatic and controversial or new efforts made by the serious people deeply involved in this to think outside the box and find alternative ways to improve the damn bill?

I also have an unplesant gut feeling that he did not only do it out of deep conviction and deeply felt outrage. I have no facts though, and I hope I am wrong.

7. I would normally agree but
I'm sick of people not saying it like it is and the corporate media ignoring Democrats - if it takes a bit of a drama queen to get attention well then fuck it

8. Looks like the GOP is mobilizing against him...
GOP Looking To Take On Grayson -- Even Without A Candidate Yet
Eric Kleefeld | October 1, 2009, 2:02PM

Republicans fully intend to mobilize against Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), the freshman Congressman who accused Republicans of wanting sick people to "die quickly," then apologized to the dead of the "holocaust" that is the health care crisis, and called the GOP "foot-dragging, knuckle-dragging neanderthals."

However, the GOP doesn't actually have a candidate yet -- but they're getting ready for it. The NRCC has set up a fund to contribute to the yet-to-be-determined GOP nominee, and have set up a new anti-Grayson site, AlanDisgrayson, to rile up their base.
