Forgive me if I judge the health plan based on what's written and out in the open

Rather than by simply trusting that whatever political games being played are for our benefit.

While I love our President, he knows and probably expects that I'm not going to assume he's supporting the right thing because he is a good soul and decent man. He is not expecting me to support any reform out of congress simply because he's indicating he's willing to sign it.

He knows that I have to judge the plans by what they are and where they appear to be going.

Now if it turns out that it this has all been master chess playing or poker-style bluffing and we get a remarkable plan out of all this, I will be happy to shout from the rooftops how I was completely fooled. But at this point, I can't assume anything like that. I have to judge the plan and words against what we are judging to be good reform.

So what that means is that while I like Obama, I'm nervous right now about 1) whether or not we will get reform and 2) what form that will take. I have a little hope knowing that so many times "he's got this" but I'm not resting on that right now.

3. I understand how you feel. *hugs* It's just nerve wracking going off of the info and misinfo

out there right now. I think the Grand Master Chess idea must bring some relief from that to people. It does for me when I lean that way but lately I am I waffling back and forth myself. "He's got it, no wait, they pulled the rug out from under him. But now he's up and swinging again!"

Agree with this feeling a lot, I have hope that this wil end right but I am not willing to bet the farm on it. I actually believe that Obama has given them enough rope to hang themselves with and that when the smoke clears and the dust settles we will have a decent health care reform. But I am also pretty cynical along with that hope... Is there such a thing as cynical hope... :)
