7. I'd tell you to see a doctor for that cough, but I dunno if you can afford it.
If there isn't a strong public option and this comes out favoring the insurance companies instead of reigning them in, I will be beyond pissed.

10. I'll be pissed too - and even more so if they cave on the energy bill...
The administration is pissing away the opportunity of three generations.

2. Someone best hit the "reset" button on the Executive Branch's messaging.
They are about to LOSE the people who got them elected.

DAMN all this appeasement to conservatives.

Our whole damn political system must come to a FULL STOP because Chuck Grassley and his lying cronies throw the least little hissy fit.

F**k the GOP in Congress! ... Get the damn blue dogs to get with "the team" on a viable Public Option and use Reconciliation to pass the damn bill.

4. Fuck.
The other side DOESN'T WANT A BILL. What else do they need to do for that to become clear?

For a smart guy Obama sure seems fucking clueless at times.

6. Yeah, he wants it but if they
won't support..they'll do what they have to do. I wouldn't imagine that they want to show all their strategy now.

Meantime keep on contacting the White House with what we The People want.

21. Oh, it's easy
to get their points. Their agenda is to bring Obama down and any cost.

None of the "Obama is weak crowd" or the "Obama is just like Bush" crowd seem to want to figure it out.

Saying he wants a bill that both sides can support is what he's supposed to say. But those with an agenda fail to grasp that it also has to be a bill that Obama supports and without a strong public option he won't support it.

I guess they want Obama to start sounding like Bush and say "We want a bill that both sides can agree to but if Republicans don't want that then we'll just carry on without them". And if he were to say that he might as well kiss 2012 goodbye because then we'd know for sure he's just like Bush.

12. What the Hell
Do they not hear what Grassley Is saying? And he Is the lead Republican negorator. If they keep being
so naive with Republicans not only will there be no real reform but Liberals may bolt.

All this Bipartisamship Is BS.When was Bush ever worried about BiPartisan.

Grassley and 37 other Republicans will vote against whatever the final version Is.Snowe and Collins
are question marks.

The White House needs to stop this or Democratic approval of Obama will go down.

Just like Obama wants bipartisan reform, but he knows he isn't going to get it. That doesn't in any way shape or form indicate that he is going to give in and not demand a bill without meaningful reform. You detractors are sure reading a lot into innocuous statements.

Obama can't have it both ways. Either he gets his Health Care bill passed or he pleases the Repukes, but he can't do both.

19. I think they *have* to say that but they know they won't get it.
So while they are saying that, they are probably seeing how many votes they have without any Repub support (which is just what they'll get and they know it).

20. I don't think Gibbs statement means the public option is dead.
Hoping Republicans will finally be open to addressing the moral imperative of covering our 45 million plus uninsured Americans and removing the threat of bankruptcy from medical bills from their constituents is not giving up on the public option.

Republicans have let us know they just want to defeat any reform President Obama introduces, but we can still say we wish they had a conscience.

We just need to reintroduce the bottom lines-- how our Pay-to-Play system has failed miserably, and ask how the Republicans propose to cover everyone with serious cost controls, equally or more efficiently than Medicare for all.

Tell us how your plans are better than what the Canadians have, dear Republicans.

I hope we can return to the ultimate question-- Medicare for all, or Single Payer as the Canadians call their system covers everyone with no fear of bankruptcy for medical expenses, at a lower cost than our privatized system. Can any of the alternative plans top that?

23. Here's how it goes
You put your right hand in,
You put your right hand out,
You put your right hand in,
And you shake it all about,

You do the hokey pokey
and you turn yourself around
That what it's all about.
