800 people get tickets to see Obama on Friday

"As Gallatin County prepares for its first visit from a sitting president, at least 800 people got their hands on tickets to Friday's townhall meeting at Gallatin Field Airport.

Tickets were distributed on a first-come, first-served basis in Bozeman and Belgrade.

At City Hall in Bozeman, officials say it took less than an hour to hand out more than 600 tickets. Dozens of people camped out overnight, with hundreds more showing up in the wee hours of the morning to secure their spot in line. By 8:00 a.m., there were more than 800 people lined up.

A Three Forks woman was the first to get a townhall ticket, after waiting outside Bozeman's city hall for nearly 18 hours. She says she has a question and a comment for President Obama.

"At what point is the US government going to be fiscally responsible and accountable and quit printing money. And the second, quit trashing the constitution and get back to it," she said."



What a nutjob. They always ask about fiscal responsibility when a Democrat is in office never a Republican. In any case good luck to the President it should be an interesting townhall.

It's a shame that tickets get wasted on assholes like this. They should do something online for people who really want to go and ask intelligent questions. Make Freepers go online and answer questions like name, name of 1 guest, address, e-mail. They'll be too paranoid to answer that, so they wouldn't want the tickets.
