As usual, the media is misinterpreting the latest health care poll numbers
and doing the country a huge disservice . . . . from Republican spin that they always seem to get behind, I suspect.

Obama's numbers aren't going down because American's are unsure of health care changes, they're falling because the President and the Dems in congress aren't fighting hard enough for a real reform bill.

1. Thank you!
I've been screaming that a Stephanie Miller all morning. I got the end of interview with someone who did say that a lot of the opposition is coming from people who are willing to fall for the scam currently being pushed - but Miller & the Mooks have chosen to ignore that.

Some of the progressive talk radio hosts are as bad as the right wing when it comes to spreading disinformation.

Maybe they'd get it if HR3200 were renamed what is really is "No Health Insurance Executive Left Behind".

2. What I've been saying since the numbers came out. Write to Stephanie, Ed, Keith, Rachel, CNN, et al
to point this out to them so that they can get the TRUTH out there if they DARE!!

I sent quite a few emails this morning.

5. I'll email when I get home at 3:00
I'm at work now.

It's disheartening to see progressives, imo, misinterpret issues this way. It's almost as much of a disservice to the country as the media doing it . . . . and some DU'ers.

7. Later in Stephanie's program this morning I heard some Congression tool
say (referring to the public option) - "wouldn't you like to know your out of pocket wouldn't be more than "only" $5,000?" and Steph agreed :wtf:

I suppose I should be glad they finally admitted there will still be out of pockets - but the didn't mention a family of four could have $10k in expenses (these are the costs for people who hit the income limit for subsidies). On the other hand, they are not considering that expenses that high will keep people from seeing their doctors.

Whatever Congress passes, it sure sounds like we continue to pay a lot more and get a lot less than people in countries that have actual health care systems.

4. They make their livings from our "health system".
Watch any commercial news for half an hour and something like half the ads are for pharmaceuticals, insurance companies, and so on.

All the major news outlets are totally dependent on money from big pharma and insurance, and they have to A: keep their sponsors happy, and B: keep the gravy train going. Is it any surprise that they are misreporting the news on health reform?

8. and that is why some unity is desirable
Our dissatisfaction is just being merged with the Republicans and used to reduce the President's effectiveness. We love the circular firing squad, getting nothing at all done, and bitching.
