3. Lynn Sweet, the reporter who asked Obama about the Gates incident.
Ugh, she doesn't likehis response last night. If she didn't want to know what he thought, she shouldn't have asked him about it...

4. Lynn Sweet from Chicago Tribune - she is the one who asked the Gates question
And has covered Obama from his early political career in Chicago. Personally, I think she despises Obama.

17. During campaign, she always tried to parlay supposed insider status and cred to be negative.
Like she knew more than she did. So now, she KNOWS he's falling apart. Never liked her.

20. Sun-Times
I think she's a pretty good reporter, but I haven't followed her Obama coverage very much. She has kind of a no-nonsense manner that might come off as despising him, I don't know.

6. WHAT the FUCK is she talking about? Is he slurring words? Acting petulant?
I think we have a good prototype for what a president looks like when he's falling apart. This woman needs to shut the fuck up.

14. why do you think she asked the question?
so that with any response or non response from him she would have her talking points for the next day when she's making the rounds.

23. oh, just that Obama has gone too far
Tweety playing like he's still a beat cop and getting all brotherly and upset.

Sweet acting like Obama is being too emotional and not the uncontroversial goody-two-shoes she would prefer.

31. Doubtful. It's midweek and Gene was all over the place earlier in the week.
Tweety's self aware of his "old boy" issues and doesn't want them called out on his show.

12. What did she say?
Heh, isn't the press always complaining about how Obama is so boring and doesn't sound passionate about anything? That he doesn't "get angry" about anything? Then he gives an honest, restrained answer, and he's "falling apart"?!! Too much.

21. In the middle of non-stop exasperating negotiations, he will out distance the doubters on this.
I suppose media would like the cool dude who never pushes for change, or challenges them to learn and talk policy.

Thought Obama was great last night.

27. Obama employs long game strategy.
Most of the idiots who oppose him don't even know there is a long game.

That's why they are continually flabbergasted when he succeeds. And are left bitter and disbelieving for months.

25. I'm getting the impression she wanted him to stand as Official Black Man and absolve the country of
its racist sins and make everyone feel happy and fine that this country elected a black man president.

And when that didn't happen, everyone went apeshit.

Instead, he made them all fall over themselves trying to understand what he meant.

It's like when the white guys who play golf with the black guy at the public course see him out at the bar with his black friends. They're like, holy shit, Reggie really is a black dude, and not just our black golf buddy. Holy shit!
