Dr. Dean Edell: in favor or public option in health care plan

Caught his radio show the other day and he basically said that there is precedent for a public and private system in that UPS has not replaced the postal service and said "43 cents to deliver a letter to your door, i challenge you to beat that". He complained a bit about insurance companies and doctors using medical tests as profit centers (where they hold a financial interest).

Just passing what I heard on. I wish I'd heard more of what he said or could quote him exactly.

I have listened to Dr Edell for years. He is a good man. I am thrilled he is supporting a public health care option.
