Mister President, I'm not on your back! I have your back!
The question for everyone, What are you prepared to do?
A lot of people have criticized the President. I'm one of those who don't agree on parts of his health care plan, however I agree that we need reform and I like that the President does support a public option. That's a key step in the right direction. I'd like to see him discuss deeper structual changing in our health system such as an emphasis on preventative care and wellness and mental health in greater detail..and perhaps he will in due time.
But I'm also emailing the representative and networking with others who feel as I do, and spreading the word. That is what we all need to do. If you want a better health care system, its not about President Obama. It isn't about him. It's all about us.
I've read that "we don't have the votes" Bollocks!
If we do our job and keep the street heat on them, then we can force the votes to our favor. Even if they don't agree, and many of them don't, they won't stand in our way because they realize if they stand our way now, we'll move them out of the way on Election Day. We have that power, its time we picked it up.
Overall, I support the President. He's busting his butt cleaning a lot of stables out right now and I picking up a shovel right along with him.
