Things you can do to help Obama today
1. Rationalize yet another betrayal of the gay community
2. Blindly support whatever health care "public option" is on the table, or the complete lack of one, instead of standing up for single payer now, while you can make a difference

1. i think i'm going to go for number 3
Put the feet and asses of the people in both the senate and house to the fire and make sure they write and pass the things we want, and Obama has stated he wants to pass.

I dare bet a whole lot of politicians are quite happy that everybody is holding Obama's feet to the fire this strongly while ignoring them for the most part, thus letting them do what they want(mainly help those givin em cash)

2. Obama has repeatedly badmouthed single payer and "socialized medicine"
Though, in 2003, he said he *did* support it, and all we needed was to take the White House and Congress.

Still with the midterms just 17 months away, better not impede the money flow from the good folks at the insurance companies....

4. unless i'm wrong
he did state during the election that if he was building healthcare from scratch he would have gone for single payer, tho he is not starting from scratch so he is working to do the best he can with what he has and what he sees as viable/possible to do.

I must admit that i do not agree with a number of people here on DU tho in regards to that single payer is the one and only solution to health care
