and supposedly another Obama win! At least BEFORE the outcome was known, that race went from being a referendum on Steele's political "pull" to OBAMA'S political "pull." Now that the race is over, you'd never even know there WAS one. How much ya wanna bet that if Murphy lost, it would be all over the news that "Obama doesn't have the influence some thought he had"? :eyes:

3. Why?
Because the corporo-media don't like reminders that Obama's bigger than they are.

They would be running scenario's comparing his 100 days with this breaking news and the effects if we had known about this earlier blah blah blah.

10. Wyldwolf found discussion on this on MSNBC's "First Read" today
but will it be discussed on their many news chat shows?

"Although the late Friday concession, as well as the nearly four weeks of overtime, might have lessened the sting, let's make no mistake: The Republicans' loss in NY-20 was yet another blow to an already-bruised GOP. It had the registration advantage, it had the better-known candidate, and it was expected to benefit from a Republican base fired up after the first several weeks of the Obama administration... The GOP now controls just three out of New York's 29 congressional seats, and it doesn't have a single congressman from New England. This is the lowest level the GOP has been in New York State -- ever. It's stunning."

Will it be just a web comment or will they follow that up with more discussion, as they would have if the situation were reversed.

"a Harbinger of Upcoming Democratic Losses" and "Backlash Against Democrats" and blah blah blah.

20. You know david gregory would bring
it up on mtp and all those other Sunday gasbags would wonder aloud "how bad is this for the Obama admin?"

If Al Franken were dragging on this election in Minnesota ..the cmwhores would be relentlessly pointing that out to the country in ugly ways.

Too bad there isn't somewhere to write or call and let them know we know about their obvious omissions!

and how he made an ad for him, then show Murphy conceding, with the dates under each different clip. :eyes:

'Testes' lost. Does that mean that Steele needs to step down??!?!?!

29. I think it is because the win is not the "news" that it would have been
if Tedisco had won. This win is "more of the same" in the eyes of the media.

They would have liked nothing better than to be able to point to a loss for us as a "change" for change (and controversy) sake.

31. Nah, thats how it should be
Obama is riding high and the GOP is toast. If the Repubs lose another election, that alone isn't news. But if they win one, yeah that's news.

32. Agree. The corporate media only really likes it when Republicans
win.

When Republicans lose, it doesn't get near the attention Democratic losses get.

Steele likely wanted this one up in New York and of course he didn't get it. The GOP had a lot of built-in advantages, too.

Murph still won.

These are hard, lean, tough times for the Republican Party. There are currently more pterodactyls in New England than Republican Congressional representatives.
