Palin backers try to derail Sebelius

Supporters of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin mounted an eleventh hour campaign today against the nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to head the Department of Health and Human Services.

Team Sarah, a social networking website, similar to Facebook, urged its followers to call the Senate Finance Committee today and object to Sebelius.

The committee is expected to vote on Sebelius nomination Tuesday.

The committee apparently received some calls, but about an equal number from both Sebelius supporters and detractors.

Team Sarah backs the former Republican vice presidential nominee and is connected with the Susan B. Anthony List.

The list is a political action committee that supports female candidates who oppose abortion.

1. I'm fairly sure this is the, er, ecstatic, expression that Ms. Anthony would have on her face
if she heard that her name was being used for an anti-woman PAC:

4. Are they trying to help dampen any 2016 Presidential hopes by Sebelius...
.... maybe.

Other than her ovaries, what does Palin have to appeal to voters outside the far right? And even then, they didn't help her much.

5. I received a robo call today at work about Sebilius. Nasty rumor
about an affair and Obama being blackmailed because of it.

Wonder who is behind that? I hung up before they gave any info..

7. Palin lends her name to the anti-abortion cause at the juncture when
President Obama will likely appoint at least 2 SCOTUS noms who are likely to be pro-choice.

The band's playing a waltz and Crazy Aunt Sarah's doing a tango. Alone.
