Gratuitious applause for Sen. Sherrod Brown.

Sherrod Brown is my senator (D-OH) and my personal friend. He was on Maddow yesterday and once again he cut through the bullshit and laid the facts on the table. We had no major financial crisis since 1929 until Reagan put the foxes in charge of the hen houses. Obama is on the right track with the recovery act and his annual budget.

The way you write it, it means that you believe Senator Sherrod Brown doesn't deserve the applause or that applause is unnessesary because it is unearned.

"Grateful applause" would be what you would write if you mean that you are appauding Brown because you are grateful for his action.

"Gratuitous violence" means violence without reason. Not violence that someone is grateful for.

By the way, I like Sherrod Brown, so it makes me sad that you would wish him "gratuitious applause."
