Obama to hold SECOND primetime press conference tomorrow. Bush didn't have his FIRST one for 9
months. Rachel reported that tonight. Next media question-Is Obama giving too many press conferences? Shouldn't he be behind closed doors working on the economy?

1. Bush managed it in 9 months?
But was he holding the questions upside down?

2. Who? That overexposed laugh-too-much in the pocket of the rich warmongering dude
that serves at the pleasure of Paul Krugman?

Him? :wow:

4. Obama press conferences
I think it's great that we finally have someone in the WH who isn't afraid to talk to the citizens of this country.

Prime time isn't that great anymore anyway. Too many silly reality shows.

6. Sad. If you absolutely can't miss an episode of whatever -
not very cool. No one should be so chained to their television.

7. no. what the fuck is he going to tell me that i don't already know...
that he couldn't deliver in some other format?

he could say what he wants to say right fucking now. it would be on all of the media outlets immediately. i could then just read it and get the message. this is not 1962. i don't have to actually watch the president speak the words.

say the words, mr. president. they will be the top story on every online media outlet instantaneously. complete with youtube and hulu and voodoo or whatever clips of the entire speech, if i were so inclined.

dear mr. president. stop messin' with my tv...

13. Sorry, but this isn't about you and a show that you're gonna miss...
it's about the millions of people who DON'T "already know" what his ideas/plans are on a whole RANGE of issues. YOU might learn something new, too, as he may be announcing a new plan or policy. He's the POTUS and it's GOOD that he's there making himself and his policies known.

8. Obama isn't "messing" with anything.
The networks don't HAVE to cover these. In fact towards the end of the Bush Error I can recall a few times where they didn't cover his pressers live.

Clearly they think that their ratings won't be affected (or will even be better) covering it.

5. Yes, the MSM is worried Obama might make himself irrelevant.
If he is on TV too much, talks to the American people too much, they will quit listening to him. I guess that's why Jay Leno's and 60 Minutes's ratings were through the roof. :eyes:

9. He's charming, but I'm afraid Obama 2.0 as they are calling it might backfire
I hear folks saying, alright already, time to stay in the WH and do a little work.

10. What does it matter?
From the posts I'm reading, Obama is an idiot or a Republican and he just sold us all out. Oh, by the way, we're fucked.

At least that's what I'm reading.

15. 9 months was barely enough time for Bush to get started
rolling out his plan to destroy the US. After all, it's hard work! (Say that last with a whine).
