Two new groups ready to take on the Conservadems in the House and Senate
Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 12:17 AM by liskddksil
"Accountability Now" which is cofounded by Jane Hamsher will target members who put corporate power over their constituents, including supporting primary challenges. http://accountabilitynowpac.com/

A second new group being organized is the "Progressive Change Campaign Committee", which will focus on open races and recruit and aid progressive Democrats so that they can get the nomination. Often the DCCC and DSCC will support their hand picked candidates usually centrist in the primary. In some cases they have withheld funding to their more liberal opponents in the general elections when their candidates lost in the primary, so the PCCC can help counteract this.

10. Until elections are put back in the hands of the people and NOT the corporations,
we will continue to have these conservatives elected into the Democratic party. It is not the PEOPLE who are putting these assholes in office. It is the voting machines.

Just because Obama and the rest of the so-called "dems" have been put in charge of the government, the media (run by the same corporations that run the rest of the country) will continue to blame the sins of the republicans on the democrats, and undermine everything the authentic dems try to do.

Dems were put in charge on a TEMPORARY basis, in order to throw the blame for this mess that will take YEARS to get out of.

The media and the voting machines are STILL in the hands of the dark side. We have to work on first things first.

12. FINALLY!! We liberals are getting our act together! We started here in MD
getting rid of Al Wynn and putting a true progressive--Donna Edwards--in his seat. It doesn't stop there. Populists that Sheldon Whitehouse and Jon Tester are just the beginning of these new effort.

13. Too bad Jane Hamsher's involved. That alleviates any impact
AccountabilityNow may have had on me. She's a hack.

Maybe the Bold Progressives will be good.
