And they used to refer to us as the "wimps."
What would Charleston Heston do now, seeing his beloved "gung ho" party cowering to a fat miserable man with the power to incite?

We can snicker at the way one by one every Republican holding office who tries to criticize the Limp caoes back crawling, asking for forgiveness. But what will happen if he decided to channel Father Charles Coughlin who, in the 30s, used his powerful radio show to go after blacks and Jews?

Would all these Republicans stand in silence if Limpdick decided to attack a certain group? Attacks that, in these days, can easily lead to violence?

Is there not a single decent Republican leader - no, not an oxymoron, yet - who would stand up and say that, yes, we disagree with the details of the President's plans but we certainly agree with the dire situation where all of us - without a $400 million contract - find ourselves?

Where are Hagel, Grassley, Chafee, even McCain?

If there is a single decent man in their Sodom, s/he will be their next nominee.

1. Simple answer - there are no decent rethugs. Just degrees of disgusting assholes.

2. Yes!
It's time for someone to challenge Reagan's 11th Commandment & try to bring some honor back to their perverted party. They need to shake off the religious zealots & get off the "tax cut" message. Some recognition that healthy communities offer a value that is not always easily calculated, would be nice, but I'd be happy with the first two.

This would make an excellent LTTE - well, maybe minus the 'Limpdick.' :D

I agree completely with your last sentence. It will be interesting to see if any are brave enough to take a stand.

3. And I am not even sure that they run groveling Limp
just to follow Reagan's "11th Commandment." I think that some of them have a decent instinct to stand up to him but then something happens, I don't know if there is pressure on them, and they cower. What a pathetic image.

4. Hagel got out for a reason. He had enough.
Chafee is not really a Repub any more and Grassley and McLame sold out their souls a long time ago. Sad but true. Dems look like adults in comparison. Lugar is not always with Obama ideologically but is not a jerk. Specter, Collins, Snowe. That is about it.

5. Does not even have to hold office now
For example, not that Newt is an adult - after all, he did throw a temper tantrum and shut down the government - but he still has a say in Republican politics. Is there no Republican with a stature who will express a dismay at the way the Limp calls the shots?

No wonder a former boss of mine, from 20 years ago who I was certain was a Republican, in his "Christmas letter" described how both of them campaigned for Obama. Did my jaw drop..

7. Hagel also
called Rush an entertainer and suggested that he and others of his ilk should try to run for office since they claim to have all the answers. And incidentally, no, he did not apologize.
