"It's better than what your crowd left us with."

Matthews just said this to Trent Lott, when Lott said the budget "raises taxes, cuts defense, how is this good?"

Lott said nothing, just smiled.

Edit spelling.

2. As bad as Clinton was for going along with Greenspan and Rubin...
.. and turning to free marketism and deregulation..

what he left Bush was a working economy, a surplus,
and a decent reputation for the USA.

Bush turned all that into toxic mush and left
a huge FUBAR mess for Obama to try to clean up
under the same kind of free market, rugged
individualist thinking .. using the money that
has all but disappeared into the redistribution
kettle of the rich and criminal kleptocracy..
in other words using phantom money that is
predicated on a debt so huge that it is
impossible to imagine much less pay back ever.

Only a radical metanoia regarding the way human
society and economies work will make a difference..
and that is not happening.

We are all SO screwed.

3. Yes, that was amazing considering that Tweety had his nose up
Lott's ass through a good part of the Clinton administration.

4. Far Be It From Me to Be Cynical But...
Tweety must have lost a ton o money in the stock market and his 401K must be under water for him to start taking on the GOP as he has been lately. This is the same fella who "swooned" over GWB in his flight suit back in the day.

Either that or the ghost of former boss Tip O'Neill has been visiting.

But let him keep at it, the more people are reminded just what a clusterfuck the past 8 years were and who was responsible, the better.

5. Precisely one of the reasons so many of these talking heads
are jumping through hoops...it's all about cash loss. Limbaugh spent a good portion of his show squealing about the DOW, he lost his ass today....had nothing to do with the country, food, medical care....he was losing money, so he squealed like a screech monkey.

Of course those of us w/o such "funding"; let's just say, I didn't lose a dime...hell, I don't even have a dime.
