Honestly, I am liking the way the battle lines are being drawn with this stimulus.

Honestly, I am liking the way the battle lines are being drawn with this stimulus.
It is a party-line vote, and that benefits us in 2011 and 2012 when the economy starts to expand again. Republicans can not take credit for the success of this stimulus in 2012, because none of them voted for it.

If the stimulus is successful (and it will be), it will also enable him to have the political capital neccesary to push through other important legislation without Repug support

I still have hopes that the Senate will strip most of the tax cut provisions from this bill and add more infrastructure spending. But other than that, I have no complaints about this stimulus bill.

The Senate needs to pass this immediately, and we need to move onto the next step on our journey to save the middle class; universal health care.
