I guess that's one way to get Judd Gregg (R-NH) out of the Senate.
Secretary of Commerce...Democratic Governor appoints a seat warmer and Hodes runs in 2010.

1. Judd would be smart to hop all over that offer if it's made.
He's got an uphill battle in 2 years and he knows it. My worry is Lynch would appoint a moderate Republican to fill the seat.

because the NM Gov is a Dem and he'll be appointing Gregg's replacement.
