| I am going to talk about a non-issue |
|
The thing I am going to talk about really is not worth spending a lot of time on however I just wanted to put in my two cents worth concerning John Roberts' fumbling the oath at the inauguration. The reason it is a non-issue is obvious in that Barack Obama technically doesn't even have to take the oath at all to be president. He already was commander in chief before he stepped up there because the constitution makes it quite clear that power is transferred at 12:00. But anyways. That's not what I wanted to talk about.
Some people might be angry at John Roberts for screwing up during a historic moment. But that's not how I see it. The mistake, in itself, was historic in its own right. And here's why I think that. Just forty years ago, the extreme racism and bigotry in this nation would have made it inconceivable for an African American to become president. Now fast forward forty years and here we have Barack Obama having to correct the chief justice for butchering the oath of office. Bottom rail on top is what I say.

| 5. Rather, in a position to correct him -- and then letting it slide. |
|
Goes a little further than a correction, that.
