1. Stick it to Clear Channel and restore local ownership of radio & teevee stations.

2. Thanks but NO THANKS Frenchie!

4. So you think that television should operate as the Globe or the Enquirer?

5. The Globe and the Enquirer are the price we pay for free speech.
Nobody is making you watch and there are plenty enough channels for you to change to.

You have to remember that popular speech does not need protection.

The speech of the powerful does not need protection.

It's the speech of the powerless and the unpopular idea that needs our protection.

We can't act like our current power is a permanent thing.

We need to respect the free speech rights of the minority (Republicans at this point) regardless of how annoying they may seem for one day the pendulum may swing the other way. (hopefully not soon).

As Obama said to day we must be civil to one another.

Censoring our vanquished opponents is NEITHER "civil" nor democratic.

6. We Used to Restrict the Number of TV/Radio Stations One Company Could Own
Supreme Court never had a problem with that. Neither do I.

7. I would argue that we need to move into digital TV and radio and issue a bunch of local licenses
to broaden diversity of viewpoint in the media.

I will ALWAYS object to censorship whether it's censoring DemocracyNow! or FoxNews.

8. Local Licenses Would be Good
We used to have lots of local stations, but Clear Channel and the like bought them all.

Digital is good if you can receive it. Not so good if you have trees and hills.
We will go from 8 over-the-air channels to ZERO next month.

3. So don't watch it.
Turn off the teevee! At least those stations that bother you.

10. Crush all opposition! Brook no dissent! Divine truth has arrived and others must be silenced.
Good ideas and actions will withstand criticism; questionable ones won't.

Life is a package deal, so deal.
