Why the need to stamp out or discredit other DU'ers' disappointment in Obama?
Isn't that a bit like FReeperville where no one was allowed to say one critical thing, or be otherwise be disappointed with Bush in the least?

Just because you don't agree with someone else's disappointment or criticism doesn't mean you need to mock it or discredit it or act like it's heresy. If you do, ask yourself why it bothers you so much that others feel differently than you do.

It really is okay if we aren't all feeling the exact same way 100% of the time about Obama.

We are all still Democrats and in the final analysis, we all want Obama to do well.

1. Yup, I have never been anything but fully supportive of Obama...
but the second I dare express disappointment, the wolves show up, licking their chops.
Hey, it doesn't bother me. I find it kind of funny...but it's not really healthy for DU.

2. Nobody will rain on my parade
I am still celebrating the election, and fully intend to continue doing so until Wednesday.

I don't like people who ruin parties.

3. This place can seem like freeperville in its outrage against dems as well
so I guess there is probably a happy medium at present with some people outraged and others hopeful.

7. It's FR because everybody hates dissent. It's FR because everybody loves to bash Dems for fun.
It's FR because disagreement is considered an attack on the Democratic leadership. It's FR because people are more concerned with bullshit red meat than with actually passing decent policy. Though only in a non-overlapping "the other guys are like" way, as it tussles with the ramifications of representing the party in power, DU slowly realizes that, yeah, we kinda are just like FR.

8. Obama will do well
And he will do so, in part, because we will constantly press him to be the best President he can be.

9. Obama is doing pretty much as expected..
.. based on his words and voting record,
which has NOT been even close to liberal
or progressive.

People do have the potential for change
and healing, though.. and with the
determination of Americans as activists
to end sexism and homophobia, along with
the notion of free trade and rugged
individualism, true humanity and rational
thinking can prevail.
