Can David Gregory go to hell with his biased opinion?

David Gregory Tells Colbert: Press Will Hold Obama's Feet To The Fire -- Who gives him the authority to talk about the rest of the media? Although he did handle outgoing admin with kid gloves, he now wants to be a hard-line reporter with Obama. What do you expect from a pin-head reporter. NBC should fire him based on his performance and destroying MTP.

David Gregory appeared on "The Colbert Report" Thursday night to discuss George Bush's presidency — his relationship with the media, in particular, and whether the press will treat President Obama the same way they treated President Bush.

After coming out with a display of his French language skills, Gregory defended the press' handling of the Bush administration.

"I actually do think that the right questions were asked," he said. "I think that people view our job through their own ideological prism and they've made some judgments along those lines."

Gregory also said that the press will keep Obama on his toes.

"I think the press will do a good job, I think the press will ask the right questions," he said. "I think you will see this press corps — I certainly will ask the same kinds of questions to this administration that I asked to the last. I think I asked tough questions of the last administration and I will do the same."

1. Well the press Should keep the gov't feet to the fire...
That is the role of the press. But like you say, why all of a sudden has the press grown a pair as Bush leaves? Perhaps it is their New Years resolution to start fresh.

I remember a quote from Greogry
to the effect that it wasn't the job of the press to question the motives or decisions of the president or his administration.

He is truly a disgusting turd.

2. If the press did a good job on bush we wouldn't
be in Iraq, numnuts.

I saw some of gregory on Colbert..they had some clips of him when he was asking good questions but something happened after the French thing and he turned into a toady.

The corporatemedia has no accountability..they just get up there and act like they're fucking pristine.

6. I don't need them holding Obama's feet to the fucking fire......
I need them to ask the right question, and let him fucking answer.

Let the people THEN judge if there is any fire there.

That's why I hate these reporters. Republicans get their asses kissed and get away with everything, and Democrats are held to standards higher than the sky.

Reporters need to have standards, and they need to be consistent. And they needed to have started this like eons ago!

9. If Russert were still with us, would he have been invited to Will's house
the other night to break bread with Obama? I think so. Gregory was not invited however. He's a news reader/asker of stupid questions. Not a journalist. That's my take anyway.

12. I realized during that segment that Gregory is even duller than I
thought he was. I'm sure he didn't "get" one single Colbert zinger from the Press Club Dinner a couple of years ago..

I'm not a huge fan of Brian Williams, but at least he has an agile mind. Gregory is slow as molassas.
