I Encourage DUers To Watch Bush's Last Press Conference
The pictures and stories just do not do George Bush justice. I watched it, and could not help but think, "Is he drunk? Incoherent?" Bush almost gave Palin's Katie Couric interview a run for its money.

My god, if Obama gave a press conference in the manner that Dubya did, they would be crucifying him for sounding as though he were mentally challenged. I was appalled, and I could see why Bush severely limited the number of press conferences he gave during his presidency.

So, the pictures and stories just do not properly convey how that press conference went. You have to see it for yourself, and ask, "How did this man end up winning the Presidency?" Also, you could see why so many Republicans are comfortable with the idea of a Palin presidency.

2. America really got lazy in 2000. I think we are waking up and realizing that the neocons WILL steal
your future and the future of you children's children to secure their future.

6. What was odd was that he even brought up his (former) drinking.
He made some strange reference that it is a good thing he stopped drinking, and said it while he was sort of chuckling at the humor of the statement. This strikes me as an odd thing for an alleged former alcoholic to bring up and make light of, particularly when he is sounding a bit bizarre.

Here is a partial clip of the press conference:

10. Let Me Put It This Way, If This Is Bush Sober...
Can you imagine him drunk? What could the freakin difference be? We are now in the last days of the Bush presidency, but I don't know whether it is amusing or horrifying that he was the man with his finger on the button. Perhaps I should actually be thankful that things are not worse than they are.

Don't rely on the news reports and still photographs. Watch it for yourself, and you will see what I mean.

11. I don't think he was sober
although, not quite drunk, I think he had had a few drinks for "fortification". I almost, (but not quite), felt sorry for him. I got the feeling that he is very well aware of the criticisms of him, and, he was trying his best to defend himself.

He was quite unsuccessful.
