Why after 8 years of bush has the leadership in the congress picked now to find a pair?

Today Sen. Reid said that he does not work for the president, he works WITH the president. Speaker Pelosi wants a heads up on all legislation and doesn't want the new administration to talk to the new members without letting her know prior to it happening. Feinstein got pissed about Obama's pick for CIA head. Somebody needs to tell these people that they're democrats because they seem confused.
