Why do we need all this public religiosity at the inauguration
in the first place? All this tussling over who's going to say what to the Big Empty kind of confirms my sense that secular government is the way to go. I know I don't speak for other atheists/agnostics, but if I did I'd say, "We told you so."

1. 90% of Americans have a religion. 3 to 4 % of Americans are Atheists.

Doesn't mean there should be anything religious at the inauguration, but it's always going to be there.
