For Clark...A Plea From An Ally.........Australia
This was posted on the Clark blog by someone in Australia. I loved it so I thought I'd share. Enjoy!

I'm just a distant voice from
The Coalition of the Willing
I don't expect my heartfelt plea
To exactly get top billing,
But US Foreign Policy
You must know is a failure.
This ally feels the growing threat
In faraway Australia.
I know you've other issues:
Jobs, health and education.
We too have felt our standards slip
In our supposedly fair nation.
Rich special interests dominate
Each democratic system,
Many governments around the world
Need fresh leadership and wisdom.

The cupboard's bare Down Under
We've no-one new with spark
So I'm filled with hope, and envy,
when I see you have Wes Clark.
The Bush Administration
Has told the whole world lies,
It's something Howard Dean can't fix
No matter how he tries.

Karl Rove has got him covered
He'll just hit that red alert
And the small state governor's big hopes
Will simply turn to dirt.
But man who's headed NATO
And wielded military might
Will offer up some comfort
If the tactics turn to fright.

It's not the economy stupid
Write that in boldest font.
Bush won't let that be the game
v. the Governor of Vermont.
But make him stand against Wes Clark
And watch him twitch and squirm
Make him find a new match plan
for winning his next term.

I want to see Bush face a man
Who didn't go AWOL
Who won't bung on a uniform
Like some damn dress up doll.
A former four star general
Who knows the cost of war
Who knows what weapons can't achieve
And values peace much more.
A man who wore the silver stars
Not sucked a silver spoon
Won't dance all over freedom
While Halliburton plays the tune.

I've never wanted regime change
In another place before
But I'm worried sick the US will
go Bush/Cheney in 04.
Don't underestimate these men dear friends,
They're ruthless and efficient
Send them a rival armed with truth
Not some small state politician.

It shows if Wes is elected, the prestige of the country goes up all over the world.

Europe would be thrilled if he was Pres.

8. Beautiful!
I am so touched by people so far taking such a keen interest in US politics and understanding how we need a regime change.

I'm working remotely for the Clark Campaign, Incognito. It's slow, sometimes difficult phone work, but I believe it is worth it. Your support is invigorating!

10. Thank You, Ilsa!
I'm working remotely, too. :) Lots of letters and some phone calls...I didn't like being hung up on though :(, so I can imagine what you're going through.

We all just need to do what we can and I LOVE being able to help his campaign. I've never been so excited about a candidate to actually WORK for them....except CMB's Senate race. This is the first presidential campaign I've been involved in though. I loved Bill Clinton, but never worked for his campaign. Thank You for your phone work! Everything you're doing will help Wes Clark. It's starting to show in the polls already! I'm SO excited!

Go, Wes!

13. FYI
The small state politician has had American supporters in Australia going to meetups in five cities in Australia. I just went to mine last night in Melbourne.

A side note: Most Australians and for that matter most of the citizens of the world are firmly in the ABB camp. We can defeat shrub et al., I'm more convinced of that every day.
