3. Wow, how "Reaganesque" of him. Peggy Noonan probably just pitched her highball glass at the wall.
You're supposed to talk about morning in America and all that sunny optimistic crap while you screw the workers over, did he miss the memo?

5. Why oh why do Republicans assume that tax relief for business ...
will somehow lead to them creating more jobs. They either use that extra money to pad bonuses or they are going to hoard it somewhere until the economy recovers.

I don't know of any business LARGE OR SMALL that decides to expand where there is no demand.

People are being tight with their money. Wages are down. Tax cuts for business aren't going to do jack shit. I agree that we propbably shouldn't raise taxes any more, but corporate side is NOT where we need to make the tax cuts.

(OH, and BTW Carly, Obama's cuts very much target SMALL BUSINESS).

8. Oh, they don't believe that shit, they just want us "dummies" to.
They can continue to fatten up at our expense when the mass of morons that vote Republican check the red box once again.

6. Romney's comments were COMPLETELY directed at the workers' costs -
not one word about anything else that has contributed to the problems leading to the current economic conditions! :grr:

7. It fools the fools that believe workers shouldn't make more than minimum wage
when these same dolts only make the minimum themselves. Idiots.

11. I think the first place this country needs to cut salaries...
is in Congress. They're supposed to be public servants, so I say we make the position of Congressman/woman or Senator a volunteer without pay position.

12. No new ideas will come from the GOP
Gov. Granholm said it's important to get infrastructure projects going so people can get back to work. Romney's response was that it's take too long and we should focus on cutting taxes. Is he serious? We tried cutting taxes and it didn't work. We've tried infrastructure investment with FDR and guess what...that did work. Romney doesn't have a clue.

19. You're right, but Obama is proposing a hell of lot more to fix our economy.
Romney's solution for the economy is more tax cuts, and that's basically it. Or, exactly the same as Bush and the rest of Republicans in Congress.

20. Salary cuts for workers?
Our economy depends on people consuming things. Cutting salaries or taxes will not raise consumption.
