Obama's Press Conference the other day ---

After 8 years of that smirking, anti-intellectual oaf who revelled in acting the "regular guy" dunce, what a pleasure watching the Press Conference Obama gave the other day. I actually welled up a little bit with tears (joy? relief? gratitude?) that we once again had a DIGNIFIED President (elect) who could actually speak and properly enunciate the English language. There were complete, complex, grammatically-cohesive and correct sentences that were also intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, elegant and humorous when required. Unlike Bush, it all sounded spontaneous, unscripted, quick-witted and not read mechanically in a monotone off an invisible teleprompter. Pathetic how low Bush lowered and debased standards on EVERYTHING. I never wanted a President, "I'd like to have a beer with." I wanted a razor-sharp, sophisticated brainiac in the Oval Office. I suspect we've got him now.

2. I think that press conference was a WARNING

to shrub and his cronies. It lets them know people are watching in an effort to stem looting and pillaging on the way out.
