What are the odds of Buchanan getting into the race?
Since * passed an immigration law that's pissing off Conservatives, is this enough for Buchanan or some other far right nut job to run as a 3rd party candidate? If Buchanan should run, I hope he does it on the Constitution Party line, since an organized party would allow him to take advantage of resources.

2. Hope he does
I doubt he will, though. It's really late in the game, and I haven't heard anything about Buchanan considering a run.

I like Buchanan, course I would never vote for him, but he is one of the few republicans I have respect for.

I want Perot to run again in the expectation of taking away some of Bush's support, but I guess he is too old now to do a campaign.

3. I don't know, but
he was HOPPIN' MAD today. He was on MSNBC with Bill Press and man, oh, man was he ticked. I HOPE he's mad enough to run. That would be perfect! I know some republicans are not happy about the new immigration policy. Maybe they will encourage Pat to run. We can hope!

4. I have a feeling --
-- that the people who would write checks in support of Pat Buchanan don't need much advance notice.

If Pat wanted to go for it, he could hold a press conference on January 18 -- the day before the Iowa caucuses -- and announce that he will run as an independent. Bush would have a fit.

Buchanan whomped Bob Dole in New Hampshire a while back and he did it with far less cash and personnel.

I think tv bores the boy and he's in for the big prize.

Do it, Pat.

5. Re: What are the odds of Buchanan getting into the race?
Of all the times Pat has run, this may have been (may be) the year he'd get the most votes.
