Notice how LONG it took the talking heads to call the state?? For an hour I kept listening to them in the background to see if they would say what the percentages were..meanwhile on the computer I kept seeing only a 3-4% difference in results (48-52, etc...). The blue counties on the websites I was watching were popping up one after another...urban counties, lots of counties in South Texas, then some in the Southwest TX region.
Yeah, there were red ones, but they were the tinier counties, so the nubers were sooo close for so long. Yet the M$M just could not bring themselves to say "too close to call". The best we got was a one time 'to early to call" but even THAT was followed up with a "but McCain is expected to have an 11 point win there" Ok, THAT is significant RIGHT there. 11 point win. Yet in 2000 and 2004 chimpass had over a 20% win (23%, I think and higher). Means the repuke lead/win would be cut in HALF!!!!!!!!!!! In TX. Yet they glossed right over it and went onto another state. These same talking heads who seem to spend forever on the stats/details on every other state, right down to the county level, comparing this year's county results to 2004, had nothing to say about TX and the 50% cut in repub win. NOTHING. Nor about all the in South Tex and urban settings. In the end, the repubs did win TX by 11.75 points per the TX SOS website. But in the MSM eyes, red is red..even if it is half the red it was 4 and 8 years ago.
