CNN Afraid White House Will Pull Bush Campaign Ads? BULLSHIT.
is this realistic? I just started to question this.

If CNN gives too much air time to AWOL does anyone really believe that Bush would pull ads from CNN?

Bush would be willing to allow ONLY Kerry ads to run from now til November unopposed?

If CNN was no longer given access to the Bush campaign events etc. this would hurt BUSH in the long run as CNN ONLY would be covering Kerry.

Sorry, this doesn't add up.

4. Apparently, You Didn't Read My Post
because I DO get the picture.

That CNN is brushing off AWOL is obvious and uncontestable.

But you can't say the reason they are doing so is because of fear of being denied access or having campaign ads pulled.

Bush can't afford, in this tight election, to NOT have ads on CNN or to NOT have his face on CNN.

CNN SHOULD be in the drivers seat here.

2. No, but the WH could cut off the "good access" to the CNN correspondent
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 10:15 PM by Lex
.
and the WH Press Secy not call on the CNN correspondent, and sit the poor guy in the back.

Never 'leak' a little info to the CNN Correspondent, never give them a bit of a 'scoop.'

The WH could suggest that no big name Repukes go on Blitzer's Sunday show for a while and send only the 2nd string team.

Remember, CNN, MSNBC and Faux are in a battle for ratings, and the slightest ostracizing by the White House could tip the ratings scale.

5. Yes, And So Kerry's People Would Have Major Exposure & Bush NONE
again, this is a tight election.

Bush couldn't afford to NOT have his face shown nightly.

9. No, they would have to report on Bush because everyone else
would be--they just wouldn't be getting good access to the WH or WH Staff in the scramble for have the good interviews and the offers of a little 'scoop' now and then.

No Colin Powell sit-down interviews, etc.

They'd be forced to report the Bush stories without any of the scoops or access the other guys were getting.

It wouldn't be like they'd stop reporting the Bush stories completely.

20. LOL! you changed your post.
now you include "US", instead of the earlier version. your new wording sounds better...but I still say the cartoon is not funny, nor accurate.

12. You Just Proved My Point. :-)
:)

CNN would STILL report on Bush but NOT the favorable, glowing pap they do now.

And, at the same time, CNN would STILL be getting scoops from KERRY!

Kerry would then be getting all the coverage.

Again, Bush could NOT afford to let this happen in such a tight race.

So what, CNN would lose the edge on Bush and COULD focus favorably on KERRY.

They would then pick up the Left wing voters and moderates sick of the Bullshit.

RIGHT?

17. But Bush is in the White House NOW and that access is important
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 10:38 PM by Lex
.
and his Administration gives access to Defense Dept., to State Dept., to Colin Powell, to basically EVERYTHING that happens in DC that has to do with running the country.

Having limited access currently to that would be devastating to a 24 hour news channel.

Having unlimited access to Kerry's camp right now is NOT the same thing because he's NOT in charge of everything right now.
