Dick Cheney's Warning Quote
"It's absolutely essential that on Nov. 2, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States."

Now, I've been taking a little bit of a break from the media whores, but I was wondering if maybe some DUer could bring me up to speed and tell me when Dick Cheney started campaigning for John Kerry.

3. That's What I'm Saying
It's like he's subliminally telling people... "Vote... For... Kerry. Vote... For... Kerry..."

6. That's What He Meant
But I agree 100% with his statement in a LITERAL sense. If we make "the right choice", I think we'll be safer. If we make "the wrong choice", I think we're likely to get hit hard again. The only difference is that I think Kerry/Edwards are the right choice and Bush/Cheney are the wrong choice.

2. Electing Kerry would REDUCE the likelihood of Terrorist attack.
The Terrorists, and especially the Sadam loyalists in Iraq, are motivated by their hate for Bush and if Bush were not President we would remove one of the Terrorist's incentives...to strike back at Bush. There would be less likelyhood of Terrorist attacks if Bush were not President, not more likelyhood, as Dick Cheney has suggested. Islamists believe Bush is a Crusader and the Great Enemy. The United States will not be able to make real progress on the War on Terrorism until Bush is gone.

5. welcome
and yes, I agree with you. My theory is that 9/11 happened precisely BECAUSE Bu$h was in office. This was a message intended for the all powerful BFEE.

4. "from the standpoint of the United States", NOT the Republican Party's
For the Republican Party, it'll be a great thing if we're hit hard after a Kerry victory. Thanks Dick, I needed that clarification...

7. That's exactly what I thought. Any "bounce" they had is gone with that...
... little gem of a quote.

They still fail to see that their buddy Aznar lost in Spain because of s*** like that.

Cheney often goes "too far", but on this, he went TOO FAR. I can hear the undecideds out there right now saying:
"Who the F*** is HE to tell me who to vote for?!!"

Edwards is going to tear Cheney apart in the VP debate (if there is one). Remember, he's a trial lawyer. He's used to dealing with Haliburton CEO types. I can see it now:
"Mr. Vice President, you keep saying that 'everybody thought' Iraq had WMDs before the war. Yet when the U.N.'s chief nuclear inspector proved that the uranium claims you were making were based on forged documents not two weeks before the war, your response was 'Frankly, we think (he) is wrong.' Both before and after the war, you have repeatedly made such statements about Iraqi WMDs and ties to Al Qaeda that have repeatedly been shown to be false. By the time the war started, very few people in the world believed these things, Mr. Cheney, mostly consisting of you and your friends in the White House!"

8. Sometimes my tinfoil hat is working overtime
Cause CheneyFuck is so evil, that I wonder if he means:

Vote Kerry you weasels and there will be another 9/11. Because I know how to make one come about. And that's how we will make sure that Democracy is ended. One way or the other, we will prevail. Kerry is not going to stop us. (maniacal laughter ensues)

I hate this kind of thinking, but damn, now I'm more sure there won't be a terror attack before the election. That's good news, right?

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

11. What cheney simply means is that if we get a new.....
administration... then all of the Congress will become incompetent, all the homeland security personnell will become incompetent, all of the CIA, FBI, NSA, and so on will become incompetent... so, if you don't want another 911, vote for me.... and I will make sure that all these people tow the line. Or not.

>>FBI and military intelligence officials in Washington say they were prevented for political reasons from carrying out full investigations into members of the Bin Laden family in the US before the terrorist attacks of September 11.

US intelligence agencies have come under criticism for their wholesale failure to predict the catastrophe at the World Trade Centre. But some are complaining that their hands were tied.<<

>>Just as the 9/11 Report flew off the shelves into the hands of civic-minded Americans, so will Intelligence Matters. Sen. Bob Graham has always been respected for his expertise in the Senate in foreign affairs, and like John McCain continually eschews partisan politics. As he prepares to retire he shares a candid and sobering look at what happened with 9/11, including the Bush administration's cover-up regarding Saudi Arabia.
To honor the legacy of all of those who died at the hands of Saudi terrorists, honest, patriotic Americans everywhere should read this book and know the truth before they vote on Nov. 2.<<

10. I like what Wonkette had to say
We're Just Glad They're Not Using 9/11 for Political Purposes

As you may have heard, voting for John Kerry will cause us to be attacked by terrorists. Which is weird, because we keep hearing that Kerry is pro-terrorist. Vice President Cheney apparently knows better: "f we make the wrong choice," he said yesterday, "then the danger is that we'll get hit again." Fearing that he may have been too subtle, Cheney also warned that should Bush fail to be re-elected, the waters will rise, the seas will boil, blood shall rain down upon the land, and terrorists will visit upon the house of each individual Kerry voter and there shall be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth. Cheney then brought his cloak across his face, laughed maniacally and disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving his support staff to cast goat entrails to determine the fate of the world should the GOP lose the Senate.
