what struck me most about the palin/"sarkozy" prank
yes, the ego of her to believe that the president of france would be calling her on her cell phone and her sheer idiocy hit me, but there was something else.

she called him nicolas...not mr. president, not mr. sarkozy...nicolas.

how presumptuous is that?

it wasn't folksy. it wasn't cute. it was disrespectful. it was rude.

i was appalled by this. i have spoken with politicians i loathed and still addressed them by their titles, never their first names.

of course, we've seen this in the past, including the 'can i call you joe?' moment before the debate, but i wonder if she would walk into the oval office today and call * 'george'?

7. What struck me most about it...
... was that she said yes she'd consider running for president in EIGHT years. IOW, she expects Obama to win not only one, but two terms. LOL!
