1. Oh yeah ... she's a GOPACer from way back ...
Probably from the time Newtie began pushing that
"DemocRAT" crap ... I will be SO glad when this
is over and we don't have to see/hear her mispro-
nunciations ("nukular") every darned day ...

3. Why do the repugnants insist on doing that?
I've never understood the point of their refusing to call our party by its rightful name.

4. It's just their way of demoralizing and diminishing us.
Just the same way they demonized the term Liberal.

They suck.

5. Simply a malapropism... I have a relative who is guilty of several...
how about "John is going to paint the esophagus on the house" (soffits)

"They have a lot of crimicals over there" (criminals)

"There are bapteria that cause xyz illness" (bacteria)

And so it goes, malapropisms are not just for breakfast anymore...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malapropism
Distinguishing features

An instance of mis-speech is called a malapropism when:

1. The word that is used means something different from the word the speaker or writer intended to use.
2. The word that is used sounds similar to the word that was apparently meant or intended. Using obtuse (wide or dull) instead of acute (narrow or sharp) is not a malapropism; using obtuse (stupid or slow-witted) when one means abstruse (esoteric or difficult to understand) would be.
3. The word that is used has a recognized meaning in the speaker's or writer's language.

These characteristics set malapropisms apart from other speaking or writing mistakes, such as an eggcorns or spoonerisms.

Simply making up a word, or adding a redundant or ungrammatical prefix (irregardless instead of regardless) or suffix (subliminible instead of subliminal) to an existing word, does not qualify as a malapropism.

8. I wish someone would correct her
and remind her to use the correct name.
Just say, you mean the Democratic Party, Sarah? Because there is no Democrat Party.
For a smart person, she too frequently sounds ignorant.

9. She's BEEN saying that. I was going to start a thread about how if
McPalin REALLY want to work with Dems., they should be called on to respect them enough to call them by their right name: the Democratic Party.
