Tomorrow's Repub Talking Point....
It's just not relevant in 2004 what Bush was doing during Vietnam. Why do the Democrats want to refight a war that was declared over 30 years ago?

I just can't wait to hear them say that - you know they will!

The question is, will anyone call them on it?

1. Democratic talking point
What would America be like if we spent the $87 billion trying to track down Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda?

2. Ah, but those similarities...
Vietnam wasn't a declared war, either. Also like Iraq, it was a war which got its major start when the President lied to Congress.

3. Response: Great, then let's talk about Iraq!!!
The failures of Iraq...the hatred that it has generated in the middle east...the increased insurgence, and the rising death toll of OUR soldiers...

I think Bush does want to talk about the past...because anyone can offer excuses for what he did 30 years ago...but I WANT TO TALK ABOUT WHAT HE DID 2 YEARS AGO!!!!! That's where we need to focus...this bullshit about Bush being a great and noble war president NOW is what needs to be fought tooth and nail!!

5. That's only the case for democrats, not republcians...different rules...
apparently...

You got to focus on the present...the facts from the present...it will destroy Bush, as it should, if only we get to it!!

As an aside...a friend of mine is a true swingvoter...she was in the Kerry camp, and suddenly switched to Bush, because of the Kerry is a flipflopper lie...it was quite easy to get her back to the Kerry camp with a few nonpartisan truthful articles about Iraq...that's what MUST be done...60% of the country no longer suppoerts this war, and Kerry needs to get his head out of his ass, remember that young brave guy that he used to be in 1972 and SPEAK UP ABOUT IT!!

6. It is relevant if they can question Kerry's service being
in question based on his record (intimating he's a liar). So, looking at Bush's will prove he's a liar and misleads...just like he does now as commander in chief! He lies and misleads the country!

7. Because that's exactly what YOU did, and on false premises, too!
Unlike the Smear-Boaters, we'll be working with hard evidence rather than lies, gossip, and grudges! What's good for the Dem is good for the Rethug!
