Please DU this Oregon poll
http://www.1190kex.com/pages/election_2008.html

It's pretty obvious that Oregon is going for Obama but my local radio station has a poll up where McCain is creaming him by getting 77.42% of the vote. This isn't a typical RW fox site either, not sure what the deal is but please DU the hell out of this one.

14. KEX is Paul Allen's hate radio station

25. Paul Allen may own the Blazers, but he is not the organization
One of the very top Blazer exec sports an Obama bumper sticker on his car(it's not my place to name names). The people who actually make the Blazer organization are over-whelmingly pro-Obama. The people who make up the organization are mostly really good people.

2. There's nothing to limit you from voting more than once in this poll.
I tried it a second time and it went through fine. So if you have the time hammer away.
I know some Republican is.

6. Why is it that every mainstream station is conservative?
We have to tune down to the lower numbers to get stuff like NPR, 620, etc. It's time for some goddamned Liberal stations to make it to the mainstream.

8. You've got one!
Be happy.
Not so in my state. Nothing on the AM but right-wing talkers and country music (right wing talk set to music)
Disclaimer: I used to like country... but that was before it SUCKED so much.

Also, NPR is NOT liberal.

12. That's my point though why can't liberals make the mainstream on radio?
We've got Jon Stewart on TV, he's a great example of how it can work. We just need a voice that resonates.

17. Bill Clinton's Telecommunication legislation at work
Consolidated ownership freezes out progressive viewpoints in most every community across the country.

AND it will continue to do so unless Obama's FCC acts forcefully to divest and re-regulate.

26. I wrote them about that
I couldn't believe that they were advocating not paying your taxes like that. I was pretty pissed and I normally like M&D but that really disappointed me, to the point that I probably won't listen much anymore. Too bad really. :(

I'm an Oregonian. Is that the station with Limbaugh and the other neo-con haters? If so, I puke in their general direction (Monty Python kinda language).

29. I listen to kex first thing in the morning
I know they're the home to limpballs, but at 5:45am all I need is something to wake me up - and they have that super fast paced format where I get a bunch of news (in like 8 second chunks). NPR has such long segments, that I miss that window where I gotta get out of bed - so I'm late.

Every once in a while I get pissed off because they have some winger on that they don't challenge - so I e-mail Paul Linman (a staple in Oregon - google exploding whale and you'll see). He answers me every time, very thoughtfully, honestly, and it's clear he's not a wingnut. I respect him.

btw, the Blazers are now on 95.5 fm.

Their ridiculous poll results don't matter. Oregon is blue baby!
