Which Harry Potter house would Obama be in?
Slytherin is out of the question, of course. It would depend if his strongest quality is bravery (Gryffindor), intelligence (Ravenclaw), or loyalty and work ethic (Hufflepuff). Tough choice, honestly.

3. I think Gryffindor.
He definitely has the intelligence and work ethic by the truckload, but it's his bravery, in my opinion, that truly makes him an exceptional person.

He knows every white supremacist in the country would like his head on a stick, but he goes out there every day shakes hands and does his thing. He's incredible.

4. Definitely Gryffindor
Because while he is brave, intelligent, and a great worker, and so could fit in any of the three houses, Gryffindors are born leaders.

5. Gryffindors are reckless

They charge in without regard for the consequences. Obama's brave, but he's careful.

I'd say Obama's Ravenclaw - known for their intelligence.

Why is Slytherin so obviously out of the question? Is Obama not ambitious?

6. Because Slytherins overwhelmingly gravitate to the dark side
So it would be reserved for McPalin and their supporters

9. Slytherins are not universally evil.
They are universally assholes, certainly, but they are not all evil. Look at Snape, for starters.

If they were overwhelmingly evil, they'd have been disbanded as a house several centuries ago.

7. No way is Obama a Gryffindor.
He doesn't show the kind of recklessness Gryffindors are notorious for. And a Gryffindor would never be attacked for being an effete, elitist intellectual the way Obama is.

Nope, he's got Ravenclaw practically stamped on his forehead.

8. Ravenclaw. He's cool and analytical. Gryffindors, on the other hand,

are impulsive and quick to act; their "bravery" is the spur-of-the-moment all-or-nothing type. Thse are not traits Obama possesses.
