Republicans have already given up

I'm on a business trip with a colleague (also a Dem) and our boss (born again repuke). We've both tried hard not to bring politics up because we don't want to deal with his bs, but last night we were at dinner and he said:

"I've come to realize, in my 20 plus years of voting, that it doesn't really matter who the president is."

We were both like "No, sir, it does matter and the last eight years have proved it."

And then we went here: "If Gore were president, likely none of this would be happening."

The conversation went on for a few more minutes, and ended with him giving up.

But, it proved to me this: Republicans have given up on McCain and Palin. They know they're going to lose and are just trying to rationalize their upcoming loss.

I'm not trying to be smug, but I love it!
