That woman irks the hell out of me. Indeed, it frightens me that so much of "the base" identifies with her, but I sometimes wonder how McCain would be doing had he chosen someone else.

When the editorial staff there began looking over his shoulder, he left.

He ended up moving his family to Tennessee and began work at The Chattanooga Times where his contract demands that the editor not see his cartoons before the public does.
