McCain/Palin campaign gets help in Maine (former MA Gov Jane Swift)
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 04:54 PM by MaineDem
Former Massachusetts Gov. Jane Swift will be campaigning for the McCain/Palin ticket in Maine Wednesday.

GOP presidential nominee John McCain tapped her a few weeks ago to head a "truth squad" to defend his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, against criticism.

1. I wouldn't call that 'help'.
She was NOT a popular governor in MA.

to defend her?

3. Big deal
We had George Mitchell speak at our office today. In Maine, there is no bigger political superstar.

5. Well, they can't send her anywhere else, and I guess they have to look like they're trying.
Not that it'll matter at all.

7. Poll gives Obama 19-point lead in Maine
With a week left before Election Day, the poll says 54 percent of those surveyed were for Obama, with 33 percent for McCain.

The GOP still thinks it can grab the CD2 Electoral Vote. Not gonna happen.

10. Yup, the one and only.
They're both members of the sisterhood of governors who have given birth while in office but I wouldn't want Swift campaigning for me.

17. But he gets pissed when Palin tells the truth.
Just now McSame said, when two mavericks get together they don't always agree with each other.

He should have taken his own advice and vetted the candidate.
