Why Is McCain Opposed to Middle Class Tax Cuts?
McCain is clearly opposed to tax cuts for everyone making under a quarter of a million bucks a year. He's stated his opposition to Obama's proposed cuts falsely claiming the tax cuts will mean higher taxes for most of us.

Obama and his campaign ads ought to say over and over and over again in clear terms:

"Republican Senator McCain is opposed to tax cuts for middle class and working class people making under a quarter of a million bucks a year. Guess he thinks we don't pay enough taxes and wants us to carry the biggest tax load. Meanwhile Republican Senator McCain wants another round tax cuts for his rich bankers and corporate sponsors on Wall Street while working people suffer. The middle class needs tax relief, the billionaires are doing just fine."

I have yet to hear anything along those lines that is simple, clear and to the point.

Republican Senator McCain opposes middle class tax cuts.

Period.

This needs to be pushed.

1. When have you ever heard of a Republican describing a tax cut as a "givaway"
...then go on to say how his tax cut is "better" (cause it taxes the poor more)

4. They are not really his base. His base is big business. They usually contribute to him..and
help him stay in power.
He has no use for those that do not have lots of money.

And those dumbass low-information voters who support him do not even realize how
blatantly they are being lied to.

6. huh?
Every time I see Obama on tv, he brings it up. His message is very clear, and 3 simple sentences.

"I want to cut taxes for 95% of Americans. I want to cut taxes for the middle class -- people making under $250K/year.

"McShame wants to cut taxes for the wealthiest 2% of Americans."

Doesn't get much clearer than that. He's been saying it since the debates.

The latest ad showing in Maine -- just the last 2 days or so -- has a new twist -- it invites you to his website to see what your taxes will be under his plan:

"A nurse who makes $60K will get back a thousand bucks under my plan. She'll get back 150 bucks under McShame's plan."

You can go to the site, fill in your income and it shows your tax savings under his plan.

8. Those Messages Fail to Point Out That McCain Is Opposed To Middle Class Tax Cuts
Edited on Mon Oct-27-08 06:55 PM by Better Believe It
In fact, some of the ads suggest that McCain is for middle class tax cuts, but that Obama favors bigger ones!

"I want to cut taxes for 95% of Americans. I want to cut taxes for the middle class -- people making under $250K/year."

"McShame wants to cut taxes for the wealthiest 2% of Americans."

All of the above fail to mention the fact that McCain is OPPOSED to tax cuts for the middle class and working class people!!!!

do you think the following message is too weak and complicated?

"Republican Senator McCain is opposed to tax cuts for middle class and working class people making under a quarter of a million bucks a year. He thinks we don't pay enough taxes and wants us to carry the biggest tax load. Meanwhile Republican Senator McCain wants another round of tax cuts for his rich bankers and corporate sponsors on Wall Street while working people suffer. 9. Isn't that Socialist?
The tax cut is never mentioned in this context. It's always innuendo quotes and other bullshit. The whole socialist bs is a dog whistle to racist who are afraid that blacks are going to get more welfare IMO.
